The Story of SOL International
The Idea
SOL International Foundation was created with a simple but powerful mission: to provide opportunities for children and families in Roatan through education, sports, and community-driven programs. What began as a small initiative has grown into a foundation that supports youth development across the island — creating pathways for growth where resources are limited.
How It Started
In Roatan, many children grow up without access to structured programs, consistent mentorship, or safe spaces to learn and develop. SOL International was founded to help bridge that gap — starting with small, community-focused efforts and building relationships with local families. The goal was never just to create programs, but to create lasting impact.
Growing the Mission
As the foundation expanded, so did its reach.
Programs evolved to include youth sports, educational support and community development initiatives. Each program was built with the same core idea:
give kids a structured environment where they can grow, learn, and build confidence.

Today, SOL International supports hundreds of children across Roatan.
